Welcome to our practice at Scheduleborough.

We are a eight doctor practice, serving 13,000 patients from two sites.

Five of the partners are full time, one works 5 sessions and one works 6 sessions.

Lucy is our salaried doctor, working 3 fixed sessions/week for us.

We are a teaching practice, and also take medical students on a Thursday afternoon.

The Partners have the following outside interests: ·

• Ben is a scheme organiser, 2 sessions/week.
• Ali one session a week in Respiratory Medicine at our local hospital.

Our doctors have all their usual peculiarities in the way they like to work their week: ·

• Sam is the finance partner, meeting with our practice manager every Friday afternoon.
• Postnatal clinics are only done by our lady doctors, on a Wednesday.
• Ben does not do the children’s clinics. These happen every Tuesday and Friday.
• Only the full time doctors and Gerard do minor operations.
• Not all the doctors agree to take the GPR for tutorials.
• Only the 3 trainers teach the medical students.
• Dan refuses to do branch surgery on Friday afternoons and the part time doctors only go there on a morning.
• Sam insists on his Monday pm at branch.

The doctors are particular in wanting the on call to follow a rolling pattern following an annual allocation around their holidays.

So you can see, we are a typical busy General Practice, with all the diffcult rota problems this causes our senior administrator!
